Rug Weaving Loom Companies and Rug Making Suppliers
We have talked a lot about the loom best used for weaving rag rugs, but now you need to know where to buy the looms and supplies. Unfortunately many of the companies that were either family owned or the grandfathers of weaving, have closed. Not to worry, there are still enough places to find your loom and weaving supplies. Below are a few that will get you started and keep you fully supplied.
Great Northern in Kalamazoo MI, is one of the companies I use. The prices are very competitive with other companies and the service excellent. Shipping out your orders is handled quickly and delivery very speedy.
They market Looms, warp, loopers, and many other weaving supplies. Pretty much your one stop weaving supply store.
This company will supply you with a brand new loom of your choosig. The Norwood will produce a nice wide 40" wide woven rug. You will even be able to find a loom that weaves a 30" weave and folds up for strorage.
No longer in the loom business due to family change, but they still carry heddles and other weaving supplies for the mountain looms.
